What Services Do You Offer for?
How Often Should I Bring My Pet for a Check-up?
- Puppies and kittens: 6–8 weeks old, then every 3 weeks until 16 weeks of age.
- Adult dogs and cats: every 6 months for wellness visits.
- Exotic pets: every 12 months for wellness visits.
Do You Offer Emergency Veterinary Care?
Yes, we provide emergency services during our regular business hours. For after-hours emergencies, we recommend contacting the nearest 24-hour emergency hospital: Animal Emergency of Braselton or Veterinary Emergency Group.
What Vaccines Does My Pet Need?
Vaccination requirements depend on the species, age, and lifestyle of your pet. Our veterinarians will create a customized vaccination plan during your pet’s wellness exam. All cats, dogs, and some exotic pets in Georgia legally need to have a rabies vaccine.
What Should I Do if My Pet is Not Eating or Behaving Normally?
Changes in eating habits or behavior can indicate underlying issues. Contact us to schedule a visit. Under no circumstances should you ever dose over-the-counter or prescription medication without first consulting your veterinarian.
How Can I Prepare My Pet for a Visit?

Do You Take Walk-ins?
Yes, we accept walk-ins, but there may be a wait (possibly up to an hour) with an added fee. To ensure timely care, please schedule an appointment whenever possible.

Our Pharmacy Policy
We do not approve prescription requests from third-party pharmacies (e.g., Chewy, 1-800-PetMeds, PetcoRx). This decision was made with great care after years of observing inconsistent practices, product sourcing concerns, and privacy issues.
We have chosen to partner only with pharmacies that:
- Maintain strict standards for medication handling and safety
- Do not sell or compromise client data
- Share our values around patient health, integrity, and security
Need to Use a Different Pharmacy?
If you prefer to fill your pet’s prescription at an outside pharmacy, we’re happy to provide a written prescription that you may take to the pharmacy of your choice.

- We encourage you to allow 2–3 business days for prescription processing.
Prescription Guidelines
- Your pet must have been examined at Dacula Animal Hospital within the past 12 months.
- For preventive care medications (e.g., heartworm prevention), we also require an up-to-date annual heartworm test for your pet’s safety.
- For non-preventive medications, your pet must have been diagnosed by one of our veterinarians or under our care for the condition in question.
Shipping Timeline
Most medications ship within 5–7 business days. This may vary depending on the type of product and prescription. We encourage clients to request refills in advance to avoid delays.
